Okay, so it’s been a while, and I know that’s obvious because… well, the last time I sent an issue was in July of last year. But I feel like just saying “it’s been a while” doesn’t really cover it, because this wasn’t me disappearing on purpose. It was more like… I kept meaning to come back, and then life kept getting in the way.

This newsletter has always been where I come to think.

Not necessarily to teach or give advice, but to process my work in content and my take on product communication: things I notice and things that bother me a little and won’t leave me alone. And for a while, I didn’t have the headspace to do that.

I could’ve written something. I just didn’t want to write anything.

Somewhere along the line, consistency started to feel louder than meaning, and I didn’t want this between us to become something I was forcing just to say I showed up.

So I paused. Longer than I expected, to be honest.

And now I’m here again.

I haven’t suddenly “figured it all out,” but I miss having a place where I can put down these thoughts I have about content and the absolute beauty that is context. I miss the conversations this newsletter creates—even when they’re one-sided.😅

This is not in any way a big comeback email. It’s not a reset. It’s just me wanting to give my side of the story: my context, if you will.

Content & Context is still what it’s always been: me trying to make sense (and of course share my findings) of how we build, create, and communicate content in an increasingly digital world, especially with how fast things are moving and how clarity feels harder to hold onto.

If you’re still reading this, thank you for staying.
If you’re new here, welcome.
We’ll figure the rest out as we go.

until the next, you have my gratitude
